What is an Ibbling?
“What's an Ibbling?”
I hear you say.
I don't think I’ve ever been asked to explain.
You see, here’s the thing,
I’m not really sure quite where to begin…?
Far away there is an island,
where the Ibbling live.
It’s so very far away,
no one is sure where it is.
I cannot give you directions,
or show you on a map.
Their island is well hidden,
there's no doubt about that.
Ibbling are so very small,
much smaller than me or you.
Ibbling are mysterious,
and some say magical too.
Ibbling are thoughtful,
and caring, and wise.
They like to care for nature,
and the creatures of the wild.
Some believe that Ibbling,
are lurking all around.
They really could be anywhere,
but don’t like to be found.
Not just on their island,
they've been seen around here.
Someone saw one yesterday!
So they really could be near.
If you’ve ever heard a noise,
that you simply can’t explain.
That’s probably an Ibbling!
Scurrying away.
Or when you think you saw something,
out the corner of your eye.
I’m sure that was an Ibbling!
They really love to hide.
So next time that you’re out somewhere,
see if you can see.
Little tiny Ibbling,
hiding secretly.

Winter is a Snow Ibbling.
She lives in the southern icy regions of the island. Here, it is very cold, but the Ibblings don’t seem to mind.
Winter lives in an ice cave. She helps to care for the animals that live here like penguins, seals and snow leopards.
At night the Snow Ibbling make fires and love to dance, keeping warm in the glow.

Ocean is a Water Ibbling.
Water Ibbling live by the rivers and surrounding seas of the island.
Like all Water Ibbling, Ocean is a master boat builder and a fine fisherman.
There are many creatures and plants to care for above and below the water, and Ocean loves to go swimming whenever he can!

Ember is a Forest Ibbling.
These Ibbling live on the eastern side of the Island.
They like to build tree houses, forest huts and homes in caves under the ground.
Ember is an expert tree climber. She helps care for woodland creatures, insects and birds. She also loves to forage for woodland food like mushrooms, fruit and nuts.

Rocky is a Mountain Ibbling.
He lives high in the great mountain regions of the island. Like all Mountain Ibbling, Rocky is hard-working, strong and has a caring heart as big as his muscles.
Mountain Ibbling search the caves for many things that Ibblings need. They mine the rock for stone that Ibblings use to build their houses, and find colourful gems and gold which glow with mystical energy that helps give life to the island.

Nanna Ibbling also lives amongst
the forest folk of the East.
Nanna is one of the wisest Elder Ibblings, and The Ibblings look up to her like their own Grandmother.
Nanna is keeper of the secret recipe of The Ibblings favourite food - dumpling soup!
All Ibbling help to make the soup, each playing their own part, and try to keep it safe from the Trobblings!
